Symmetry

I've struggled for a while to decide how to write this post. I've decided to go for minimalism.

Above is an MRI of my right knee, taken on July 16 of this year. The yellow arrow points to the area of torn cartilage (posterior horn of medial meniscus), for which I will be having arthroscopic surgery on Sept 4.

Below is an MRI of my left knee, taken in February 2006. The yellow arrow points to the area of torn cartilage (posterior horn of medial meniscus), for which I had arthroscopic surgery on March 17, 2006.

Here is the writeup about my first torn meniscus, with links to some stories about how well my return to running went after that surgery.

And here is a link to a song that I plan to sing in the next month, both with the original lyrics ("My Blue Hawaii") and the alternative lyrics that seem to fit so well ("My Torn Meniscus").
